Fire Insurance Map of the Thomy Lafon school ca. 1950

Human remains associated with the Locust Grove Cemetery were discovered during the construction of new school buildings. The work continued for days until several caskets, skulls, and bones were found. The remains were to be reburied on site or at another cemetery.
