The New Orleans Times, 1866, references Locust Grove Cemetery in comparison to Lafayette Cemetery Nos. 1 and 2 and the revenue collected from each through the sale of plots and vaults. January through June the city collected $52.75 relative to Locust Grove Cemetery compared to $7,696.18 collected from Lafayette Cemetery.
