In 1951, Knights of St. Peter Claver Inc. purchased this building at 1821 Orleans Avenue and used it as their national headquarters. The organization also rented out office space to tenants including notable figures such as A. P. Tureaud and Ernest N. "Dutch" Morial. The structure was demolished in 1986.
