Brass Crucifix

Very few artifacts related to dress or personal adornment were recovered with the burials at Cypress Grove II, probably reflecting a typical style of burial involving bodies being undressed and wrapped in shrouds at interment. Some individuals were buried with items of jewelry like rings or with religious items, like the crucifix illustrated here.
