Rose-Pattern Blue-Transfer Printed Soup Plate from Rising Sun Hotel (ca. 1820-1822)

This Rose-pattern transfer-printed pearlware plate likely dates to the early 1800s and was imported from England. According to the final archaeology report, "If purchased new, the plate would have been neither the cheapest nor the most luxurious addition to the Rising Sun Hotel's motley collection of
dinner wares."
