William Epps, a local man who also married one of Felix Grima's other slaves, Justine, with whom he had numerous children testified as a witness to Marie Jeanne and Eugene's marriage here. He includes that he knew Marie Jeanne since she was 25 years old and Eugene for about 25 years before his death.
