This small 12' x 12' structure was built directly behind Indian Camp Plantation sometime after 1906. Over the years it has functioned as an arts and crafts house, a greenhouse, and later a catechism classroom for staff children of federal employees of the National Leprosarium.

Today it is the Welcome Center for the Carville Historic District.
