The picture is a bit damaged but it is historic. I believe that Father Kinney was the first Catholic priest in the area. I remember that we started going to mass in the Delta Theater before St. Phillip's Catholic Church was built in the upper Ninth Ward. This particular picture was taken of Father Kinney at a church-sponsored picnic at Abita Springs.
